Makerspace · 1,300 SF · Portland, OR
A 1,300 SF makerspace at the Propel Center on PSU's campus, run by PSBA and PTTRN with a specialty in fashion. Basic machines for swag, more advanced ones for fashion, and someone at the bench who'll show you around.
We keep an abundance of basic machines for swag, and more advanced ones for fashion. Most first projects use one from each column.
Basic, quick, and usually the fun part.
The specialty — prototyping and short runs.
Who it's for
Coursework, capstones, side projects.
Merch, samples, and a room to make them in.
Founders and teams down the hall.
Pick the one closest to what you came for. It tells us who to put you in front of.
We make it together — stickers, shirts, whatever marks the occasion.
You learn the machines and run small batches of your own.
Bring the idea, leave with a sample — prints, cuts, first garments.
Same machines, your hands. We teach, you build.
Small batches are the norm. Large runs can mean bringing your own materials. And making — either kind — usually means some training first, and our training bandwidth is limited, so we take it a project at a time.

Tuesdays
10 – 3
Tuesdays are the day the Treehouse is open for first conversations — 10 AM to 3 PM. Come with something specific: a file, a sketch, a pile of shirts, a half-made sample.
Access is provided on a case-by-case basis — based on projects, technical background, and to the discretion of our staff.
Tell us what you're working on and pick a Tuesday. We read every note ourselves.
